Since I seem to be keeping track online of the dramatic episodes at my place of business, I thought I might take the time to inform you that there was another (attempted) fire in the building today. In the men’s room. We shut it (the men’s room) down for the rest of the night.

It’s just so bizarre. And last week I was feeling all smug – it was calm and the programs I planned went successfully and they were fun. But then we were without a public safety officer on Friday and all hell broke loose. We called 911 (not with an emergency, but with a public disturbance) and they NEVER CAME. We think they drove by and slowed down, but did not stop. So that makes my stomach hurt. Luckily a person with more clout than I happened to pop in, and SHE made the calls that I could not make and we got ourselves a public safety officer. But the 911 thing is shady and creepy.
