I do what others tell me

So Bookshelves of Doom discussed The White Darkness by Geraldine McCaughrean, and I pretty much put on request everything that she talks about. I finished the book late Wednesday and let me just say, I was very glad to finish it. It’s a brilliant book – deep and winding and intense and I truly didn’t know how it was going to end.

However. Frankly, I am stressed out enough as it is, and I do not really need a stressful book to read right before I go to sleep each night. And this book made me so anxious. POTENTIAL SPOILERS:  I officially do NOT want to take a trip to Antarctica any time EVER. I will not trust anyone who moves in on my family with the intention to take care of us. And I will keep each place I live at a comfortable 68 degrees.

Thank you. I think. Er…I suppose I should be glad it had the desired effects. I ended up feeling much the same about Antarctica after I’d finished researching it. But I’m sorry about giving you the shivers quite so comprehensively
